   The XC ski season is fast approaching so now is the time to start getting our trails ready for snow.

   Again, I find that I love our little community in Longville, MN.  It’s the little things that make me appreciate living here.

Friends of the Library book sales; looking towards the future

   The Longville Friends of the Library group has been involved with very successful fund-raising events for the Margaret Welch Memorial Library for over the past 20 years.

Take care of our muskies

   I am greatly frustrated! While fishing on an area lake I watched a fisherman boat a muskie. It really concerned me how he treated the fish.

Mob grazing on public lands

   Drought will make people consider actions that were formerly off limits. With 100% of our state now considered abnormally dry, some MN legislators have broached the idea of supplementing cattle foraging options by opening public lands to grazing and possibly even haying.
