Area lawmakers update Cass Board on 2013 legislative session

WALKER - Sen. Tom Saxhaug, DFL- Grand Rapids, and Rep. John Persell, DFL-Bemidji discussed with the Cass County Board Tuesday results of the 2013 state legislative session. Home invasion reported at Sugar Point

At approximately 6:46 a.m. on July 2, 2013, the Cass County Sheriff's Office received a report of a robbery at a residence in the Sugar Point area, near Federal Dam. Officers arrived on scene and learned that there had been a home invasion and an assault at the residence.

Sheriff Tom Burch reports that the Cass County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant on Tuesday, July 16 in the City of Pine River, pursuant to an ongoing investigation of animal cruelty. 102 dogs and 29 puppies were seized.
