Mr. and Mrs. Gene Kahl of Hackensack are the parents of a daughter born March 13th.
Verl Tilbury has been a busy man this week, bulldozing roads out and helping old man stork deliver a couple of packages to the Tilbury families; A girl to Theophil and Lola Semmler and another girl to Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tilbury, all of Pontoria.
Clara Byersdorfer arrived home at Turtle Lake after spending the past months with her daughter, Mrs. Ted (Gladys) Norgard.
Tub Godfrey of Boy Lake hauled pulp to Deer River for Harvey Countryman and hauled a load of wood for Ray Lunwell on Thursday.

Snowfall for the winter of 1974-75 through February 28 totaled 70.85 inches compared to the 55-year average of 36.5.
On Friday morning Paul Norman showed slides on Alaska to the kindergarten class at the Longville school.
Ole Sumption retired after 35 years on the Kego town board. Claude Johnson and Nora Shepard were elected supervisors, and Jesse Kline as treasurer.

Michelle Tessin has been named director of the Longville Area Family Center and will assume duties in February, replacing retiring director, Barb Moran.
Ira “Ike” Mills, 86, was born to Charles and Elnora Mills and attended Pine Lake school. He married Beatrice Huddle in 1936 and made their home in Whipholt. He worked as a logger and railroad worker until he retired in 1974. He died March 9th.
