Jan. 29, 1925
Several moon factories in Trelipe, Wahnena and Gould township last week were visited and four distilleries were ferreted out.
Richard Partridge of Onigum is very busy hauling wood to Walker this week.
A dance was held at the Twin Lake school house in Inguadona Saturday with quite a few turning out.

Jan. 27, 1950
Cass County mercuries dropped to the minus 20s for the second week and a 14-inch snowfall on Monday and Tuesday brought a total of 40.75 inches so far this year.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wake of Federal Dam are the proud parents of a new baby boy.
The Longville school faculty surprised Dorothy Jordan (Coleman) Austin with a gift of a bedspread and wished her much happiness in her wedded life.

Jan. 31, 1975
James McBride died January 24th. The McBrides purchased land and built a home on Thunder Lake near Remer in 1938. They made their permanent home there following his retirement.
Mary Wheeler entertained the Woman Lake Yahtzee Club on Monday. Audria Arthur won the Yahtzee prize.
Last week’s blizzard is past now, but a number of people are still unable to get out. Mr. Wolske plowed the Rogers and Racines out as soon as the storm subsided.

Feb. 1, 2000
Frank Smith, 79, served in the US Army during WWII, and served in the European Theater in Germany. He lived in Remer since 1978 and was active with the Remer Area Food Shelf until 1999. He died January 24th.
Lenny Lang was honored at a basketball game for his 11 years of service as a member of District #118 school board.
