Knapp scores 1000th point
The Northland Eagles traveled to Ely Jan. 11 for a Saturday afternoon game. Although they put up a good fight without one of their key players, the boys ended up falling to the Timberwolves 46-78.
Jamison Knapp ended the day with 22 points, 16 rebounds, three assists and five steals. Other top contributors were Tucker Kovall and Henry Holter both with seven points and Brody Berg and Brody Johnson both putting up three by hitting three-pointers.

Tuesday, Jan. 14 saw the Eagles host the Floodwood Polar Bears and walk away with a 107-51 win. With Knapp only 24 points away from scoring his 1000th career point, the game was well attended by family and friends to cheer him on.
Knapp ended the evening with 28 points and reached the 1000th point during the second half with a three-pointer. Knapp also had 22 rebounds, 17 assists and 11 steals for the evening. Senior Anthony Robinson also had a stellar night by putting up 35 points, five rebounds, six assists and two steals.
Other contributors were Holter with 14 points, five rebounds one assist and one steal; Berg with nine points, one rebound, one assist and one steal and Johnson with eight points, four rebounds, two assists and three steals.
The Eagles hosted Greenway on Friday, Jan. 17 and then headed to Barnum Monday, Jan. 20. Other games next week will see the boys hosting Cromwell-Wright on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Deer River on Friday, Jan. 24 for Sno Daze week.
