Jan. 8, 1925
Misses Thelma and Alverna Vangen and Elizabeth Clark of Inguadona returned to school on Monday, Elizabeth to Bemidji and Thelma and Alverna to Remer.
A baby was born to Nancy Bedeau on Sunday morning. Jack Hudson of Wilkinson is a new patient at the Onigum Sanatorium.
A.A. Harder is covering the Longville area, taking an agricultural census.

Jan. 6, 1950
Miss Joyce Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Smart of Staples became the bride of Emmet Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Brown of Remer on Dec. 30th.
George Berger left Brevik Tuesday for the north woods again after spending Christmas at his home.
Quite a number attended the New Year’s party held at Sleepy Hollow Saturday night.

Jan. 9, 1975
Several people from Blind Lake attended the wedding of Sandra Sawyer and Marion Lynn at Longville on Saturday afternoon.
David Felton and Steven Smith have entered the International 500 snowmobile race this year.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Early family spent the week with O’Neals in Federal Dam. All had New Year’s Day dinner at Monte McKeigs. Other guests were Mrs. Ann Wattles and Valerie.

The 3rd annual Remer Mid-Minnesota Sled Dog Pulling Competition is Sunday at Remer.
Tracy Charles Shepard, 88, was born to Jim and Minnie Shepard. He attended school in Blind Lake and then worked in Bagley where he married Ina Carlson on Aug. 16, 1930, and moved to Blind Lake where he was a township supervisor for many years.
Eleanor Grace Hansen was born January 7th to Bill and Laura Hansen. Paternal grandparents are Bill and Bonnie Hansen and maternal grandparent is Peter Van Dusen.
