Storm end regular season 15-11
The Storm ended their regular season with the best record on the books since the co-op with Hill CIty at 15-11. Last week saw the girls travel to Onamia, Thurs., Feb. 13, to take on the Mille Lacs Raiders. Senior Bella Dunham led the Storm to the 60-41 victory with 15 points, seven steals, eight rebounds and five assists. Junior Charity Berg contributed with 14 points, six steals, three rebounds and two assists, while Freshman Nora Wake ended the evening with 11 points, five steals, eight rebounds and one assist.
The girls then traveled to Northome/Kelliher to take on the Mustangs for their final regular game of the season. With a 24-102 loss, Head Coach Stacey Johnson used the game to let the underclassmen see some action. Top scorer for the evening was Berg with seven points, while Jasmine Kingsley contributed five points and Madison Barnes ended the evening with four points. Other stats saw Barnes with four rebounds, two assists and one steal; Berg also with four rebounds and one steal and Kingsley with three rebounds.
Playoffs will begin Thurs., Feb. 27 with placement being determined on Sun., Feb. 23. The Storm is hopeful they will score a home game on Thurs. with the game to be held in Hill City. Check either school’s website or Facebook page for accurate details.
