Robinson scores 1000th point against Cherry


   Thurs., Feb. 6 the Northland Eagles walked away with a 83-53 win against Mille Lacs. Point leader for the evening was Anthony Robinson with 30 points. Henry Holter added 19 points to the scoreboard, while Tucker Kovall contributed 17 and Jamison Knapp added 15. Other stats saw Knapp ending the evening with 20 rebounds, 11 assists and four steals; Robinson with eight rebounds, two assists and five steals and Holter with nine rebounds and two steals.

Robinson reaches 1000 points

   The boys then hit the road for the next three games. First stop was Fond du Lac on Tues., Feb. 11 with them suffering a 89-111 loss. Top scorers for the evening were Robinson with 26, Holter with 22, Knapp with 14 and Bordy Berg with 12. 

   They then headed to Hill City, for the last game as individual teams as they will be co-oping next year, on Thurs., Feb. 13. The eagles were victorious in the final match-up and cruised to a 84-64 win. Robinson added another 30 points towards reaching his 1,000 point career total. Other contributors for the evening were Knapp with 24 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and seven steals; Kovall with 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals; Holter with ten points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals and Trey Flowers with seven points, ten rebounds and six assists.

   On Tues., Feb. 18 the Eagles then traveled to Cherry to cheer on Robinson in reaching his goal of 1,000 points, which he accomplished in the last minute of the game with a lay up from an in bounds play. However, the boys fell 51-99 to the Tigers. Robinson ended the evening with 18 points, three assists and one steal, while Knapp contributed 12 points, ten reponds, six assists and four steals. 

   The final week of regular play before playoffs begin will see the boys hosting Fond du Lac for a rematch on Tues., Feb. 25 and then traveling to take on the South Ridge Panthers on Thurs., Feb. 27.
