Feb. 26, 1925
Miss Mary Bracey who has been substituting in Trelipe the past two weeks left Sunday for Cass Lake via Walker where she will teach the Mann school.
Frank Simpson has 7 teams of horses hauling for him in the Federal Dam area.
The Sunshine and Live Wire classes had a candy pull at the John Ford home in Longville Friday evening.
75 Years Ago
Feb. 24, 1950
The Longville basketball and homecoming game will take place Friday at the school gym followed by dancing to the Nite Hawks unexcelled rhythm.
John Sonju returned to Boy River Friday evening, He has been in Los Angeles, CA.
A fire broke out in Kittner’s Garage at Federal Dam Saturday morning. A quick response by townspeople saved most of the contents.

Feb. 27, 1975
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Sawyer of Blind Lake attended a meeting at Kay’s Café in Backus to make plans for Edwin’s class reunion of 1945.
On the morning of February 20th, the fire siren sounded for a fire at the Remer Timber Company. The Remer Volunteer Fire Department responded and put out the fire in the new building. Fire broke out again and by 11:00 fire consumed the whole building.
Navy Fireman Recruit Richard Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lewis of Remer, graduated from recruit training at the Naval Training Center in San Diego, CA.

Feb. 29, 2000
Andrew “Andy” Bray eloped with Bessie Viola Lee and they lived in the Millbank area until 1940 when they moved to Hackensack. He worked as a carpenter for more than 40 years. He died Feb. 19th.
Dorothy Treichler, 81 of Boy River died Feb. 24. She married Conrad Treichler in 1943. They owned Rockaway Beach Resort of Big Boy Lake from 1977 until retirement in 1994.
Curt Hemsworth of Remer captured the 440 Liquid Semi-Pro Division and Dave Stefan of Remer, the 440 Fan Semi-Pro Division of the Central Minnesota Cross Country Racing Circuit on Feb. 20 at Hill City.
