   Cass County Sheriff Bryan Welk reports that at 8:54 p.m. on Friday February 14th, 2025, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a snowmobile crash involving injury on 60th ST NW in Turtle Lake Township, rural Walker, MN. Responders and Deputies arrived on scene and learned that a male, age 50, of Corpus Christi, Texas, was operating a 2012 Polaris RMK 600 when it left the roadway and struck a snow embankment and trees along the section of the “C” snowmobile trail where it shares the roadway with 60th Ave NW. Medical aid was immediately rendered to the victim who was transported via ambulance to a Park Rapids, MN hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Alcohol is a suspected factor in the incident and the crash remains under investigation. An autopsy is scheduled with the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office. 

   Assisting with the scene and investigation was the Minnesota State Patrol, Walker Police Department, and North Memorial Ambulance.
