    Walker Bay Theater needs YOU, NOW !!! We especially are in need of at least 2 or more male actors for our summer 2025 productions of the classic and fun “On Golden Pond”.

   Depending on the scope of your desired role, we have 2 supporting male actor roles and/or perhaps the lead male actor.  Imagine yourself as Norman Thayer, Jr. (Henry Fonda in the movie), or Charlie Martin (the loveable “lake delivery” mail person).  Or maybe you would be a good “fit” for Bill Ray, Sr, “boyfriend” suitor to Chelsea Thayer Wayne (Jane Fonda in the movie). 

   You will, without doubt, laugh along with the audience as Norman verbally spars with both Charlie and with Bill as each of them tries to establish “high ground” in their relationships with Chelsea.

   Easy, “natural” responses are the key to the inter-actions by all performers. Already in place are Ethel Thayer, (played by Priscilla Smith) Norman’s always steady, long “suffering” wife; Chelsea, (played by Jessie Funk) who has “moments” in her time with “Norman”.  Billy Ray, Jr. (played by Isaiah McMurrin) adds youthful insights and comedic relief throughout the presentation.

   On Golden Pond will open on August 13 and close on August 24. A total of eight performances is planned.  Wednesday and Sunday curtain is at 3:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday curtain is at 7:00 p.m.
