Eagles dominate over Lions, Huskies
The Northland Eagles traveled to Ogilvie Fri., Jan. 31 and brought home a 99-34 win over the Lions. Seniors Anthony Robinson and Jamison Knapp lead the team with 35 and 24 points respectively. Henry Holter snagged 17 rebounds and shot 60% from the line scoring 12 points. Knapp ended the evening with 15 rebounds, nine assists and eight steals, while Robinson had one rebound, five assists and three steals.
Other contributors for the victory were Tucker Kovall with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals and Brody Berg with 10 points, two rebounds, two assists and five steals.
Tues., Feb. 4 saw the boys on the road again headed to Bigfork where they took on the Huskies. They walked away with another win in the books with a score of 78-59. Robinson had another 31 points for the evening along with five assists, seven steals and one rebound. The evening also saw Knapp and Kovall in double digit scoring with 21 and 17 respectively. Knapp ended the night with 14 assists, five steals and 18 rebounds while Kovall contributed with five rebounds, two assists and four steals. Holter put up seven points, had 18 rebounds, and one assist and steal.
The boys hosted Mille Lacs in their final home game on Thurs., Feb. 6 and walked away with an 83-53 win. Stat leaders will be listed in next weeks paper.
Coming up will see the boys travel to Fond du Lac Ojibwe on Tues., Feb. 11; Hill city on Thurs., Feb. 13 and Cherry on Tues., Feb. 18.
