Feb. 5, 1925
Fred Jordan of Longville is laid up as a result of a cut in the thigh from an axe. Eighteen stitches were taken to close the wound.
The farmhouse of Roscoe Cummings of Federal Dam burned down Monday morning.
Earl Metzer moved his family down to the Jim Shepard home in Wabedo for the rest of the winter.

Feb. 3, 1950
Ted Hopen of Turtle Lake is delivering milk for the Walker creamery. Art Olson and Ole Norby have been plowing side roads in Turtle Lake after the blizzard.
Spence Carpenter injured his foot while harvesting ice. He was on crutches for a few days.
Trapping season for mink will be closed next Sunday so Leo Whitebird and Clinton Bruce will have a long rest in Onigum until fishing season opens up next spring.

Feb. 6, 1975
Tuesday evening dinner guests at the Corwin Felton home in Longville were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Slagle and Casey and Mr. and Mrs. David Felton and Christie.
A group of friends met at the Cottage Café Monday evening for a bridal shower honoring Julie Heyn. She and Donnie Gervais were married on February 1st.
There are new owners of the Lake Region Motel, but no one knows who they are.

A Beanie Babies Party was held February 13th at Bif’s Burgers located in beautiful downtown Longville.
Northland cheerleaders, Angie Duncan, Kylee Sandstrom, Daniel Watkins, Katlyn Stallings, Crista Campbell, Randi Zorman, Alicia Barber, Tasha Koehn, Syndy Bilges and Angie Surber placed second in their division at the St. Cloud State University cheerleading competition.
There will be 2 trips this winter for down-hill skiing at Giants Ridge on February 26 and March 9. Bring a sack lunch and money for snacks.
