Power outage planned for nearly 1,500 Lake Country Power members


   Cohasset, Minn. – Lake Country Power members served by Onigum Substation will be without power starting 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 16, for approximately 1.5 hours.

   The planned outage will affect nearly 1,500 cooperative members and will impact areas near Walker, Leech Lake, Longville, Hackensack, Boy Lake, Boy River, Remer and other neighboring communities in Cass County.

    The planned outage is necessary for Great River Energy (GRE) line crews to safely perform maintenance on GRE’s transmission line.  

   Members impacted by planned outages are called in advance. If unavailable, Lake Country Power will leave a voicemail to inform members about the planned outage. Keeping your contact information up to date with Lake Country Power will help ensure you receive notification.
