Jacqueline “Jackie” Landrith

   Jacqueline “Jackie” Landrith, 85, of Remer, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, with her family around. 

   Jackie was born on August 12, 1939, in Barrett, MN, the daughter of John and Alice Gilmer. She was a deeply-beloved daughter, sister, wife of 49 years, mom, grandmother, great grandma. On October 26, 1968, Jackie married Willis “Willie” Landrith in St. Paul, MN. Jackie managed a daycare and handling bookkeeping duties for Willie. In 1981, they relocated to Remer, MN, where she dedicated her time to cleaning houses and businesses in the nearby town of Longville. She served as the town board clerk for Trelipe township for 23 years. She was proud of following the footsteps of her dad.

   With her vibrant spirit and love for the outdoors, found immense joy in gardening, yardwork, and feeding her cherished companions who would visit her frequently. Known affectionately among friends and family as a prankster, she had a mischievous streak that added an element of surprise to her otherwise serene lifestyle.

   Jackie is preceded in death by her parents John and Alice, her husband Willie,  sisters Billy K. Gilmer and Patsy Jo Gilmer, and her brother-in-law, George Abel.

   Jackie’s legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her children: Robin (Tim) Ostrander of Stacy, MN, Thomas (Luana) Fanth of Hill City, MN, Shelly Fanth (Mark Tietjen) of Longville, MN, Alice Buschmann of Brainerd, MN, and John (Debbie)Landrith of Marine on St. Croix, MN. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jean Abel, along with 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren. 

   Pastor Cody Hauch will officiate the service. Saturday, April 19, 2025, viewing at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM funeral service, luncheon to follow at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Rapids, MN.  Jackie will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Remer, MN
