April 9, 1925
Forest Simpson went to Sugar Point Friday to the sugar camp.
Some of the deputy fire wardens were busy last week in Cass looking after brush fires.
Ernie Gale drove a team from Wabedo to Boy River Monday to do some work on the C.A. Walker farm at that place.

April 7, 1950
This is the latest spring in years in the opinion of all “old timers.” A total of 70.9 inches was recorded this winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Cernia have moved to the Ralph Fuller home. Fullers have moved to their home on Little Boy Lake.
Easter vacation in Boy River school Friday, April 7th because of road conditions and will continue until April 17th.

April 10, 1975
The Leech Lake Ojibwe Club held a games night at the hall in Federal Dam Wednesday.
Louis Warnert, 84, died April 6th. He was married to Eleanor Pohl in 1925 at St. Paul where he was a butcher. They moved to Tobique in the early 1940s and then to Remer.
Charlene Larson was riding a horse last Saturday when the horse reared, threw her, and fell on her. She suffered a broken pelvis and internal injuries and is at the U of MN hospital.

Lewis Mohawk, 91, was born to Joshua and Floretta (Rhodes) Mohawk at Alexandria. He married Alyce Whitman Kyallquist in 1932. He performed exhibition boxing matches and worked road construction and built many fireplaces in the area.
Northland/Deer River Cross Country runner Sarah Getty has been invited to participate in the 2000 Down Under International Games, July 1-13 in Australia.
