Happy Dancing Turtle Business After Hours Oct. 3
Everyone is invited to take part in Business After Hours from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 at Happy Dancing Turtle’s Old Main building on the Hunt Utilities Group Resilient Living Campus, 2331 Dancing Wind Rd., SW in Pine River. This open house is co-hosted by Happy Dancing Turtle and the Pine River Chamber of Commerce. Rollin’ Dough, a local wood-fired pizza truck, will serving up their delicious fare, featuring local ingredients including vegetables grown in Happy Dancing Turtle’s garden.
While you enjoy complimentary refreshments, take time to learn about Happy Dancing Turtle and the Chamber, as well as connect with community members. “Everyone is welcome, not just Chamber members,” said Pat Johnson, Interim Chamber Director. “That’s the great fun of these events—seeing everyone out there.”
Happy Dancing Turtle is a nonprofit dedicated to growing good stewards of the planet by providing education, programs, and experiences for youth and adults that inspire wonder and empower change. Visitors will have the chance to chat with staff, learning about environmental and resilient-living programs for kids and adults.
The Old Main building features straw bale construction and demonstrates multiple sustainable building techniques. See the demonstration garden in its end-of-season glory and hear about a variety of growing practices. Discover how Happy Dancing Turtle is partnering with area producers and ranchers to improve access to locally grown produce and meat and enhancing practices that support sustainability.
