Northland High School will be celebrating Homecoming week Sept. 16 - 20. The staff and students will participate in many events and dress-up days throughout the week.
The students will kick off dress-up days on Monday with ‘Merica by wearing Red, White and Blue to show their spirit for their country.
Tuesday’s dress-up theme is “Country vs. City” with student’s chosing to dress either in their best country outfit or city attire. That night the Storm Volleyball team will travel to Deer River. 7th grade and JV games will begin at 5:45 p.m., 8th grade game will begin at 6:45 p.m. and the Varsity game starts at 7:00 p.m. The War Eagles will travel to Grand Rapids with action beginning at 4 p.m.
Wednesday’s dress-up theme is “Class Color Day” with students wearing class colors. That evening there will be a pizza party in the commons for students with the annual student vs student vs staff volleyball tournament for 7th - 12th grade students starting at 5:30 p.m.
Thursday’s dress-up theme is “Throw Back” by dressing in an outfit from the past. That evening the Storm Junior High football team will host the Carlton-Wrenshall Raptors NC, in Remer, with kick-off at 5 p.m. The Storm Volleyball girls will travel to Crosby-Ironton with 7th grade and JV games beginning at 5:45 p.m., 8th grade beginning at 6:45 p.m. and the Varsity game starting at 7:00 p.m.
Friday’s dress-up theme is “Rhyme w/out Reason” with a student wearing an outfit that rhymes with another student, but has nothing to do with each other. The Homecoming Coronation will take place at 10:30 a.m. in the Elementary Gym. Then join the Storm that evening for the Homecoming football game vs. Carlton-Wrenshall Raptors NC starts at 7:00 p.m., in Remer. Ater the game the students will enjoy a lock in being held at Northland High School from 9 to midnight.
Join in the fun all week with volleyball games, a cross country meet, the coronation and football games.
