Sept. 11, 1924
Mrs. A.B. Metzer left Trelipe Sunday evening for Thunder Lake to take up her duties s as teacher at the Metzer School.
Harry Altman is driving the school route in the Brevik district.
Miss Anna Grover left from Federal Dam for Remer on Saturday as she will teach at the Sjoden School.

Sept. 9, 1949
Work has been started on the new Hackensack village hall and pump house. Floyd Snyker has been awarded the contract.
Johnny Tabaka threshed this past week for the farmers in the area of Longville.
Dale Carpenter who drives the Longville Dairy truck was sideswiped by a tourist’s car on the road to Hackensack.

Brenda Manders, who attends Bemidji Vo-Tech, is home for the weekend.
Mary Ann Tweder, who is employed in St. Paul, spent the weekend with her parents, the Floyd Tweders.
Mr. and Mrs. Manley Olson (Benetta Mayer) spent the weekend with her parents, the Ben Mayers.

Mia Peterson of Swatara is recipient of a scholarship for the academic year at the College of Saint Benedict. She is the daughter of Pam and Charles Peterson.
VFW Post 772 and Auxiliary Annual Picnic will be held at the shelter behind the Longville school beginning at noon.
New fall hours for Bif’s Burgers located in downtown Longville from 7am to 7 pm. Roy and Leslie Robison are owners.
