   Ronald A. Brooke, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at his home in Remer, Minnesota.

   Ronald was born August 15, 1935 in Walker, Minnesota, the son of Robert and Georgena (Collins) Brooke. He was united in marriage to Mary E. Collins on April 23, 1958 in Park Rapids, MN. In 1974, they made Remer, MN their home. Ronald worked as a woodsman and logger for all of his career. Together, he and Mary raised four daughters.  

   Ronald loved being outside and in nature. His pastimes included hunting, fishing, and chopping wood.  Spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him great joy. Ronald loved playing music with his family and singing together. He can be remembered as an amazing father.   

   He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brooke on July 29, 2019; parents, Robert L. and Georgena F. Brooke; and his brother-in-law, Jerry Armstrong.  

Ronald is survived by his daughters, Terrie (Mike) Curry, Sheryl Brooke, Lorrie (Marlin) Herbert, and Janice Luehrs; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Roberta Armstrong; and brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Brooke.

   A celebration of life service to honor Ronald and Mary Brooke will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Northland Alliance Church, 2 – 3rd Ave. SE, Remer, MN.
