Oct. 23, 1924
Ralph Patton, Alex Sears, and Art Chase left Tuesday for the Dakota harvest fields.
The mother, Anna Hendricks, of Hiram McNair, both of Federal Dam, died Ocober 10th.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bluhm of Thunder Lake came to Walker and stayed at the Normal cottage as a guest of daughter Rubena, who is a member of this year’s Normal Training class.

Work started on the Boy River bridge and will continue for the next 30 days. Traffic is being detoured to the Tobique road.
Gerald Richmond was home in Federal Dam over the weekend. He is employed at the Garrison Dam in North Dakota.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Mills have purchased the B. Yochum farm north of Longville.

Mrs. Bobbi Smith and family entertained with an open house on Saturday evening with a luscious buffet.
Ingebrigt Grimsmo came to the US from Norway in 1920 and moved to his cabin on Cooper Lake in 1955 where he lived until his death on October 15th.
Mrs. Duane Moran and family spent a few days visiting her father, Henry Borden and Mrs. Ann Moran.

The Northland Girls Cross Country team put one more notch in its holster Tuesday by winning the Bemidji Invitational.
Federal Dam Town Garage Sale and Store Inventory Sale will be held inside Federal Dam’s old Gymnasium on October 29 and 30.
Voters will be asked December 7 to approve a $10.5 million referendum for the construction of a new elementary school in Longville and the remodeling of the Remer elementary and high school.
