Charlie Daniels of Federal Dam was hurt last Monday when the speeder he was riding jumped the track.
Several people attended the farewell party at the Anson Beal home in Wabedo.
A new gas light was ordered for the Boe School, so now there will be plenty of light.

The basement of the new Longville VFW community building is progressing rapidly with the help of volunteers.
Lola Kline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kline, married Charles Howell. Richard Miell played the wedding march.
LaDonna Hafften, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doug Hafften of Longville became the bride of Eugene Roy Lilyquist of the Navy on September 24.

Oct. 10, 1974
Rabies clinics will be held in Walker and Hackensack due to the incidence of two rabid skunks in the area.
John Sjoblom, 85, died, October 1st. He came to Remer in 1924 and farmed until he was 54 when he then worked as a carpenter in the area.
Hackensack is to have a $130,000 municipal revenue building bond sale that will take place October 30 to acquire and better a municipal liquor store.

Northland High School celebrated its win over the Wrenshall Wrens, 76-12. Homecoming royalty were King Levi LaValle and Queen Ashlee Zaffke.
Tracy Stanich and Kyle Witherow announce their engagements. Parents are Dick and Beckie Stanich of Hibbing and Tom and Mary Witherow of Remer.
Faley Slagle of Longville is ready for Halloween. He grew this 115-pound pumpkin from Hybrid Seed especially for the occasion.
