   With the end of summer comes the time for our 25 Lending Library volunteers to close the door for our 23rd library season. Volunteers put 1,891 books into the hands of 2,414 readers in 2024 and devoted 1,549 hours of service from June through September.

   We are anxiously awaiting news in mid-October of the acceptance of a substantial building grant proposal submitted to the Minnesota Historical Society.  If that is successful, Phase I of building restoration will begin in the spring causing the library to move to a new temporary location for a year while work is done to restore logs, windows, doors and floor.
