  Off season??  No such thing in the theater world.  We here at Walker Bay Theater  are as busy as we are  when we are in our “summer mode”.    There is always something, some project, some maintenance being addressed in preparation for a new year.

   2025 is right at our doorstep and, with that being said, the Board of Directors of Walker Bay Theater is being kept busy researching and selecting potential productions for the year.  While several decisions have been made, we are still looking to fill other calendar dates. What is holding the process up? Well, realistically speaking, one key holdup is a shortage of actors, actresses, backstage hands and stage crew. Consider this 

a call to anyone with a desire to volunteer their time and talent and join with a team of other fun, dedicated volunteers in bringing quality entertainment to the Leech Lake area and beyond. We need set builders, theater set-up, concession prep, box office ticket sales, painters, custodial duties, set decorators, prop procurement, and of course there is always a dire need for actors and actresses. Anyone wishing to explore further your wish to help is asked to contact : Dave Holk at 218-820-1603 or 218-547-4044. Volunteer positions are unpaid, but how do you place a $$$ value on a sense of pride and satisfaction received from being a part of something that provides so much pleasure to fellow theater fans.

   All that being said, here is a “TENTATIVE Season 2025” schedule:

   May 2nd (7pm) & 3rd (3pm)  Leech Lake Boys & Girls Club @ WBT. FREE WILL offering presentation of Little Red Riding Hood.

   June 4th – 15th  But Why Bump off Barnaby @ WBT

   November 29 – Annual Kids open house (Festival of Lights) at WBT.

   December ???  Christmas production ???  TBD .
