  Paul W. Mitchell, 79, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2024 at this beloved lake home in Hacknesack, MN surrounded by his loving family. 

   Born April 22, 1944 to Evelyn and Charles Mitchell in LeSueur, MN he graduated from Cokato High School in 1962, went on to St. Cloud State earning his teaching degree and later a MA in Educational Counseling. His career was dedicated to his students, but his passion was travel and while in Thailand, met the love of his life Udom. 

   Preceded in death by both parents and brother John. Survived by beloved wife of 20 years, Udom; children, Art, Ann, Jason, Saul, Emily and Ahmi. Grandchildren: Shane, Alex, Jahan, Josiah and Ruben. Great grandchildren: Jaxon, Olive, Leif and sister Carole Mitchell.

   A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Sunday, April 21 at the American Legion Club in Backus, MN from 1 to 4 p.m.
