Miss Doris Raboin, teacher at the Huset School near Boy River, visited her parents in Cass Lake.
Miss Adair Hofer, teacher at Sugar Point School, spent the weekend in Bemidji.
Longville mail does not seem to be getting out of Hackensack for the Cities until about 14 hours after it should.

March 18, 1949
On Monday Harold Eckers of Pine River moved a building from Onigum to Hwys. 34 and 371 for C.E. Bonga.
Vaughn Kriebs and Ray Bannister took the midnight train from Hackensack on Monday to enter the Veterans’ Hospital at Fort Snelling.
Henry Engebretson did some telephone repair work on the Boy River line on Friday.

The Blind Lake township election was held Tuesday with Jerome Eibes for supervisor and Mrs. Gloria (Edwin) Sawyer for clerk.
Carl Jepperson, owner of the Long Pine Store, was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital last Tuesday.
Second graders at Longville Elementary had a retirement party on March 14th to mark the retirement of their teacher, Mrs. Toffle.

The Land of Lakes Girl Scout Council has named Barb Moran of Longville among its honorees, as a recipient of the Woman of Excellence Awards.
Julia Gallaher was born January 24th, 1912 to John and Susan (Skogun) Sorum in Remer. She married Claude Gallaher on December 22, 1943 at Remer. She died March 14th.
Emma Antonia Albrant was born October 12, 1923 to Orville and Minna (Fellerabrand) Mills. She moved to Longville in 1993 to be closer to her sisters. She died February 26th.
