Paul Norman

b. Dec. 25, 1939 d. Feb. 29, 2024


   Paul Norman of Longville, age 84, passed away at home on February 29, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, Uncle and Friend.

   Paul was born to Florence (Ollie) Schenck and Gilbert Norman on December 25, 1939 in Pine River. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David. He is survived by his sister Janice Schuler, spouse Patricia and children Laura (Steve) Kwapick, Aaron (Tracy) Norman, Ryan Norman, and Susan (Javier) Delgado. He will be missed by his five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

   Paul graduated from Longville High School and, after he served in the Air Force, he finished his degree in Industrial Arts at Bemidji State University. Paul began his teaching career in Kelliher, MN. Soon after getting married, he and his wife moved to Kodiak and Nome Alaska for an adventurous four years of teaching. They returned to Minnesota, teaching at Holdingford High School and then returning to the family resort Lakeview Camp. Paul’s grandfather started the resort around 1915.

   Paul enjoyed fishing with his many fishing buddies, working in his workshop, carving decoys, reading, writing, listening to music, and enjoyed collecting/selling various items at the flea market.

   Visitation will start at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on March 16, 2024, at the Longville Community Church, where he was a lifelong member.
