Henry Bongo, Onigum merchant, departed for the Twin Cities to lay in a special supply of merchandise for when the residents received their payments.
Mrs. Maude Snell and son, Harold, left Thursday last for Effie, where she will cook for a camp.
Two wood saws have been busy in Trelipe. Will Pelky and Alvin Hanson of Thunder Lake own the rigs.

Dr. C.D. Ferrell who has an office at the Remer Hotel moved to the new Nixon building due to the closing of the hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Jr Fairbanks are the parents of a baby girl born Jan. 15 at the Government Hospital in Cass Lake.
Donald “Punk” Kline entertained at his sixth birthday party on Friday.

Jim Mix caught his arm in his table saw and suffered cuts to his arm and wrist. He was rushed to Crosby Hospital and will be there for a while.
Dale Peterson was born in Boy River on July 15, 1922. He is a veteran of WWII and returned to Boy River in 1946 as a heavy equipment operator. He married and moved to Zap, Mn. He died Thursday at the age of 51.
Pat Sartell died January 24th at the age of 45. He was a Navy veteran in WWII and the former mayor of Longville.

John Mergen, Jr. 76 of Remer, died January 25th at his home in Remer. He moved to Remer in 1950 and married Faye Anderson on June 13, 1977 and farmed for many years.
Anna Hafften married Douglas on April 24, 1928, and they owned Mask-En-Oz-Ha Resort in the Longville area from 1948 to 1960.
