Gail Marie Ringstrom, age 81, of Boy River, MN, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024, after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and COPD.
It would be wrong to say that Gail lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Gail stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looked like. There was no quit in Gail. Just because she is no longer here, it does not mean she lost her fight.
Gail was born in 1942 to Allen and Hazel Vesledahl in Brooten, MN. Gail and Gary Ringstrom were united in marriage on March 4, 1961. They lived on the farm near Boy River where they raised their 2 children. Gail was a full-time mother and homemaker until her children were older, she then went on to become a home health aide with Cass County.
Gail was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Boy River. She was a fashionable lady, noted for making her outfits match, with a love for life. She had the prettiest smile and was as beautiful on the inside as she was the outside. Gail enjoyed crafting, painting, sewing, shopping, gardening, deer hunting, the wildlife outside her windows, going to the casino, and loved watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Gail loved spending time with her kids, her little dog, Coco, but especially her granddaughter, Hannah Engel. She will be missed by many.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 60 years, Gary. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Brett) Findler of Boca Raton, Fl and Todd Ringstrom of Boy River, MN; sisters, Barbara Knutson, Lorraine Barth, Kay Neumann, Jane Quale, Betty Schroeder, Linda Schroeder, and Trudy Groen; brothers, Dale Vesledahl; granddaughter, Hannah Engel of Miami, FL.
At this time, no services will be held.
