Ed Dalton is home in Federal Dam after working all week in Superior.
A few improvements have been made on the Boe School. A new floor on the porch has been laid and some painting done.
Anybody has a right to find fault with the way children are raised—considering that everybody has to live with the result.

Miss Ruth Foreman, teacher at the Longville High School, was married August 19 to Louis Frank Egeck at Ritzville, Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Dan Yochum announce the birth of fine baby boy, Danny Ray. Mrs. Yochum is the former Martha Hardwick.
A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brunette of Boy River on August 15th.

Linda Myers became the bride of Harold Wagenbach at Bethany Lutheran church in Remer.
Mrs. Bill Cosby and boys stayed at Daubers while Norman and Esther went to Mpls. to see Floyd Dauber and family leaving for the mission field.
Mr. and Mrs. Rhea Thompson are here from California visiting his sister Myrtle in Blind Lake. They lived on the place where Melvin Larson and family now live.

Todd Savolainen has been named a Minnesota Forest Educator of the Year for his work with the children of Longville Elementary at the Longville School forest.
Mary Lucille Pence, 73, died August 22nd. She grew up in Whipholt. After school she was employed as a welder in the shipyards in Seattle. She married Dick Pence in the early 1940s.
Glenn Campbell, was born in 1925 in Federal Dam. He went to work in the CCC camp near Bena. He worked in the mines in Keewatin and managed the “Happy Hour Bar”. He married Janice Cleveland in 1990. He died in Boy River on August 23rd.
