Mr. A. Watt’s farm near Cyphers was completely destroyed by fire last Thursday night.
The young people of Longville enjoyed a marshmallow roast Sunday evening in honor of the Carpenter boys who left for the range on Monday.
Charles Collins was working on the Blind Lake telephone lines this week.

April 22, 1949
William Munnell and family arrived in Onigum from the West Coast and is now employed at Stoney Point Resort.
Floyd Raines of Remer left on Saturday for Hot Springs, South Dakota where he will be employed.
Leon Arola purchased the Renfors building at Turtle Lake and is tearing it down.

April 25, 1974
Mr. and Mrs. John Swentkofske and two children were guests at the parental Mahlon Swentkofske home for Easter.
Laura Peterson, born Feb. 20, 1901 married Walter E. Peterson on Nov. 30 1929 and moved to a farm at Remer where she lived for 45 years. She died April 17th.
Father Charles Flynn left Sunday for a vacation in Florida, the guest of his uncle.

Henry Frank was born February 9, 1917 to Albert and Emma (Yost) Frank in Remer. An Army veteran, he married Dora Mix. He started Henri’s Mobile Home Park in Remer. He died on April 19th.
Elizabeth Showalter was born Sept. 25, 1903 to Ben and Barbara Clark. She became a school teacher for several area schools and was Inguadona treasurer for many years. She died March 19th.
