Violet (Vi) was born to Paul Fritz and Ethel Marie (Anderson) Haglund on January 14, 1935. She grew up on the East Side of St. Paul, and was confirmed at First Covenant Church in St. Paul. She graduated from Johnson High School in 1953, and attended McAllister College. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Johnson on May, 25,1957. Vi’s passion was supporting her husband, raising their four children, loving their many dogs, gardening, feeding the birds and other animals found in the yard, and spending time in Hackensack at her lakefront home. She volunteered and was involved in many school activities at Minnehaha Academy where her children attended, including hockey, volleyball, track, basketball, baseball, and football. She and Bill would attend every event, and she would always have Scotcheroos in hand. Vi was also very active at First Covenant Church in St. Paul, MN, Calvary Free in Walker, MN, The Lighthouse in Hackensack, MN, Christian Women’s Club, Community Bible Studyand Bible Study Fellowship. She wanted to know her Lord intimately and wanted those around her to know Him too and that Salvation was for everyone! We thank the staff at Good Life Senior Living in Hugo, MN for caring for our mom so kindly during her last days.
