Clarence Raymond Sjodin passed away peacefully at home November 15, 2023. Proceeded in death by parents Clarence and Alice, wife Marilyn, brothers Merlyn, Leon, Roland, sister Linda, son Paul and grandson Jake.
Clarence is survived by his sister Donna Kedding, sons Chuck (Patty), Mike (Dyanne), Steve, Dan (Cynthia), daughter-in-law Renee and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. He was born in Onamia Minnesota prior to moving to Alaska as a small child and returning to North Minneapolis and Anoka. He met the love of his life, Marilyn, at the skating rink in North Minneapolis while in 8th grade. They were married Sept 6, 1952 and moved to Spring Lake Park. He worked at RayGo for many years as a welder and shop manager and was an active hunter and outdoorsman. He was a Scout leader for many years and earned the highest award in Scout leadership.
After retirement Clarence and Marilyn moved to Longville where he was active in the Snowmobile Club, Salem Lutheran Church and honed his skills as an accomplished wood carver. After Marilyn’s passing Clarence moved back to Spring Lake Park. A celebration of life will be held on December 16th at the Brooklyn Park Cremation Society. Social gathering at 10 AM followed by a ceremony at 11 AM.
