Charles Robert Mayer passed away July 16th at his home from natural causes. He lived his life on Birch Lake and was a contractor in the Hackensack area for many years, employing a great number of local craftsmen, building banks, businesses and many private homes. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, most proud of his trips to Canada with his friends to enjoy these sports. His friends are way too many to mention. He was generous and always willing to help. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mabel (Olson) Mayer and is survived by a sister Carol and her husband Dick Knapp living in Florida, and his cousin Thomas Maloney and his wife Susan. He lived his life to the fullest on his own terms and asked that no memorial or services be held.
