December 13, 1923
Miss Margaret Nason of Bena and Lee Shoemaker of Federal Dam were married December 3 in Duluth.
Moonshine seems to be making trouble in the Longville community again. Too bad some people have no other way to make a living.
Jake and Bertha Beckman had the misfortune to break their car Saturday night when at the Blind Lake dance and had to walk to their home in Wabedo.

December 10, 1948
Frank Ernest Petz moved to Thunder Lake township in 1912 on what was known as the Old Snow Ball Post Office and Trading Post. He farmed, did taxidermy, sketched, and painted.
Mrs. Swendsen and 4 children are spending the winter in Mrs. Gillespie’s home across from the Hatheways. She owns LuRoy Bay resort on Four Point Lake.
Mrs. Mary Ann Amanda married George in 1884. They came to Hackensack in 1920 and were in the bakery business until 1935, when George died.

Don Jensen’s brother Jerald has been promoted from Captain to the rank of Major and is stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Jesse Hildebran from Buffalo, North Dakota came to Norman Dauber’s to see his sister, Esther. He also called on the Emmett Fowlers.
Nettie Brady’s new granddaughter, Katherine Margaret, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tom Lynch on November 4th in Frankfurt, Germany where Tom teaches high school.

John Sumption of the Cass County Soil and Water district was featured speaker at the December Men’s Fellowship at the Longville Community Church.
