Charles Erwin Kibbler, 82, of Boy River, Minnesota passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, April 16th, 2023 with his wife of 54 years by his side.
Charlie was born on Tuesday, September 3rd, 1940, in Walker, MN the son of Mary and Erwin Kibbler. He enlisted in the United States Army in October of 1963. After being honorably discharged from the Army in October of 1965, Charlie went to work in the iron ore mines. On March 8, 1969, Charlie married the love of his life Marsha Furst. Together they welcomed two sons, Wade and Chad, into the world. Charlie was an excellent trap shooter, avid hunter, and a competitive tomato grower. He loved to gamble and was honestly quite good at it, but Charlie cherished getting together with his family the most. Charlie’s pride and joys in life were his sons and his grandchildren.
The family that Charlie is reunited with are his parents, Mary and Erwin Kibbler; and his sisters, Flora Mae Erickson and Mary Ann Lake.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Marsha; sons, Wade (Jennifer) of Locust Grove, VA and Chad (Tandy) of Boy River, MN; grandchildren, Tegan, Kiley, and Karson; and his beloved dog Ima.
A grave side service and burial for Charlie will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Island Cemetery on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023, in Boy River, MN. Military honors will be accorded by the Longville VFW Post 772 of Longville, MN.
