John “Jack” Risteau, age 84, of Remer, MN died Friday, November 18, 2022, surrounded by family.
Jack was born in 1938 to Chester “Ted” and Kathryn Risteau in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1956 and attended the University of Minnesota. Jack worked for the Minnesota State Highway Department for 38 years. After retirement, he moved to Remer and made his home on Little Thunder Lake.
Jack loved the outdoors and spent much of his time hunting and fishing. He was also an active member of the Smoky Hollow Township board.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Steve Risteau of Longville, MN; nephews, Joe (Jill) Risteau and family of Lakeville, MN, and John (Jeanette) Risteau and family of Bozeman, MT.
Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Assembly of God Church, Hill City, MN followed by the 11:00 AM memorial service. Rev. Lisa Jordan will officiate. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery on Windy Lake in Smoky Hollow Township at a later date.
