Thomas Wayne Lund, age 75, of Ashland, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 29, 1946, in Bricelyn, MN the son of Elwood and Madeline (Kittelson) Lund.
He graduated from Bricelyn High School in 1964 and Mankato State University in 1968. Thomas married Carol Rosedahl in 1966 and they had three children, Jodelle, Paul, and Mark. He entered the U.S. Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from 1970-1973. In December 1979, he married Tenlee Stout in Hudson, WI.
From 1974 to 2001, Thomas worked for US Surgical Corporation in surgical sales and sales management, first in Milwaukee, then in Dallas and San Antonio, TX. In 2002 he moved to Brainard, MN with Applied Medical. In 2003 Thomas started Lund Enterprises LLC, where he taught self-defense and personal protection classes and created permit-to-carry training programs. He was a member of the Longville VFW Post 772, American Legion Post 690, National Rifle Association, and attended Zion Lutheran Church and United Presbyterian Congregational Church in Ashland. Thomas enjoyed downhill skiing, local politics and supporting law enforcement. He wrote country music and performed at local festivals and establishments. Thomas was an avid fan of Classic and Outlaw Country Music. He was also very talented athletically, excelling in basketball, track, and football in both high school and college. He was especially proud of being a member of the Bricelyn High School 880-yard relay team, which earned a top-five finish in the 1963 MSHSL State Track Meet.
He is survived by his wife, Tenlee; his children, Jodelle Lund, Paul (Denise) Lund, and Mark (Carissa) Lund; grandchildren, Brian Lund, Luke Lund, William Lund, Zachary Lund, and Molly Lund; brother, Brian (Penny) Lund; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Gregory.
Inurnment will take place in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
