Just when we thought it wouldn’t happen

   The “Imagine Smiles Playground Committee” has completed a mission started over 6 years ago! We set out to build an all inclusive playground for children of all abilities.  It will finally become a reality in Remer, thanks to the “Lions Club”. The “Lions” are willing to join forces with us and build the playground on county property.  Installation is scheduled to begin in the first week of September.  The location will be behind the pavillion, and in front of the Sioux Line Trail. 

   Our original plan was to build at the school. We made many attempts to acquire the school board and the administrarion’s commitment for the build in 2022 to no avail. Their commitment was important, since some grants would not be fulfilled if we couldn’t build this year. When the Lions reached out to us to collaborate, it was a no-brainer to accept their help and get this playground built!  Our hope is that all local children will be able to use and enjoy the playground.  We also believe it will encourage families to stop and bring more business to our town.
