MDHA Lakes and Pines chapter offers youth scholarships
Do you have a youth age 11-16 that would like to learn more about the outdoors? The Lakes and Pines Chapter of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association is offering scholarships to Forkhorn camps scheduled at Deep Portage Conservation Reserve. Kids will learn more about outdoor activities including hunting, canoeing, rock climbing, compass orienteering, ecology and hunting ethics all while having fun and earning firearm or bow hunters safety certificate.
Scholarships are available to local children ages 11-16 that apply to attend one of MDHA’s Forkhorn Camps at Deep Portage this summer. The only requirement is that someone in your immediate family has an active membership or become a member with the Minnesota Deer Hunters Assoc. and you would need to volunteer with fellow Forkhorns sometime this year.
Camps available are:
Forkhorn I, Session 1: June 26-July 1
Forkhorn I, Session 2: July 17-22
Forkhorn I, Session 3 (all girls) July 24-29
Forkhorn I, Session 4: Aug. 7-12
