Eagles dominate Wrenshall in Section 7A matchup
The Northland Boys basketball team traveled to Wrenshall to take on the hometown Wrens in a rematch of their opening round playoff win from last year. The result would prove to be more of the same, with the Eagles coming out with a convincing 81-48 win.
Liam Wake set the tone on defense pressuring the ball and holding Wrenshall’s top player to only four points. As a team, the Eagles forced 19 turnovers and only committed 8.
“This was probably the most complete game we played all year,” said Coach Chris Carlson. “We played both ends of the floor at a high level all night”.
Alec Wake was sizzling from the field going 13 for 20 on his way to a game high 32 points to go along with six rebounds and five steals. Aiden Carlson had 17 points and continued to stuff the stat sheet with seven rebounds and four assists. Nolan Carlson added 13 points, five rebounds and five assists. Nathan Johnson and Liam Wake each had eight points as well.
The Eagles play Carlton at home on Thursday and travel to Greenway to face the Raiders on Friday.
