Storm top Laporte and Silver Bay

   The Hill City/Northland Storm girls basketball team traveled to Laporte on Feb. 3 to take on the Wildcats. The contest was never close as the Storm crushed the ‘Cats 67-13.

   Leading the offense was Annika Spangler with 16 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists. Laine Spangler followed with 15 points nine boards and four steals. Alynza Welk posted 11 points to go with five rebounds and five steals.

   The Storm’s winning continued with a road trip to Silver Bay on Feb. 5. Laine Spangler led the offense this time with 19 points and 12 rebounds in the girls way to a 54-28 win.

   Annika Spangler put in 12 points and 13 rebounds with six assists and Alynza Welk added 11 points 10 boards and five steals.
