Longville Area Food Shelf to hold Annual Meeting
The Longville Area Food Shelf (LAFS) will hold its annual membership meeting on Monday, October 11 at 9:00 a.m. in the Food Shelf Building.
Would you like to volunteer some of your time to help fight hunger in our community?
At the meeting, nominations will be accepted for directors whose terms will begin on January 1, 2022. Food Shelf members (persons who volunteered at least 20 hours during 2020) will then cast their votes during the last two weeks in October. Directors will serve for two years, with regular monthly meetings held in Longville. Candidates must be, or become, volunteers at the Food Shelf/Tossed & Found, and should have a desire to serve the community.
The Longville Area Food Shelf is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is “to involve our communities to end hunger.” It also operates the Tossed & Found Boutique thrift store in Longville.
If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the Food Shelf board, please attend the annual meeting or submit your/their name by email to Anita Harwig, Food Shelf Chair, at [email protected], or call her at 605-787-2245.
