Derek Eudell Paul

   Derek Eudell Paul, age 72, passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Kathy, by his side on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, at their home in Longville, Minnesota. Derek was born in Whiting, Indiana on February 19th, 1949, to Doris Mae and Eudell Paul. 

   Derek vacationed as a child and loved the lake. As an adult he continued to love the lake. One of his greatest joys was to take out the pontoon to fish and watch his grandsons jump in the lake. Derek enjoyed his morning coffee outside on the deck and having family up from the cities on the weekends. He enjoyed remodeling the downstairs of his cabin, which he did mostly on his own. Derek was incredibly proud of both his children, Ben and Melissa. 

   Derek is preceded in death by his parents, Doris Mae and Eudell Paul, and his brother, Dayne Paul. 

   Derek is survived by his wife, Kathy Paul of Longville; son Benjamin Paul of Circle Pines, MN; daughter, Melissa (Jake) Swanson of Circle Pines, MN; sister, Janell (Don) Hitzman of Indiana; and two grandsons, Owen and Asher Swanson of Circle Pines, MN. 

   A celebration of life Derek’s life will be held on Friday, July 2nd, 2021 at Stuart Park in Longville, MN from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All who knew and loved Derek are welcome to attend.
