William Kenneth Bernhagen age 83 of Remer died on June 8, 2014 at the Cuyuna Regional Care Center in Crosby. He was born in Oak Grove, Illinois on February 25, 1931 to Elmer and Rose Bernhagen. He married Verlaine Rue Nelson on December 29, 1954.

William graduated from the Brainerd High School class of 1948. He was a retired supervisor for Oak Grove Dairy. He was a member of the Cass County Planning Commission. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife Verlaine; 1 son, Barry (Carol) Bernhagen of Albertville; 1 daughter,

Kem (Rory) King of Ramsey; 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents and 1 brother, Richard Bernhagen

A memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.[[In-content Ad]]
