We have a community that folks should be very proud of
To the Editor,
We moved here in 1965 purchasing Camp O' My Dreams resort, which is also now a Bed and Breakfast. After graduating from Northland High School, I moved around from time to time to places like Deerwood, Brainerd, etc., but found myself wanting to come back 'home,' which I did a couple years ago. It's a move that I have not regretted.
Our community is small but we have some terrific people here and people genuinely care for one another. This was evident by what I saw when I came home from work on Tuesday, Feb 1st. I had an emergency phone call at work that upset me and made for a difficult end to my day. I now live on Journeys End Road and when I returned home that day, I found that someone who had a plow, had plowed the berms at each end of my circle drive! Working every day, I was not able to get out and snowblow, so the berms were quite noticeable.
I have seen trucks with plows going up and down the road, so I don't know who the kind person was that plowed the berms in my driveway. To that person I want to say, 'Thank you so much. It might have seemed so small to you, but was greatly appreciated by me!' Thank you for your kindness!! It made my day end on a positive note!
All in all, we have a community that folks should be very proud of and appreciate when your 'neighbors' help you out!
