Our son and two of his friends recently took part in the boat safety course in Hackensack (July 7, 2011). What a great experience! All three now have a healthy respect for safety -- things like wearing a life vest and being aware of weather conditions out on the lake -- that they didn't have before. The same message that we've been giving about safety was reinforced by the sheriff's deputies who provided the training.

We appreciate the efforts of the Hackensack Lions Club, the Ten Mile Lake Association and Cass County Water Patrol officers, and the many volunteers who made this experience possible.
