War Eagles track travels to Bemidji for Lions meet
The Bemidji girls took top honors in the 17 scored events with 138 points, Grand Forks Red River followed with 123 points and Grand Rapids finished third with 106 points. DRN would finish their opening outing with an 11th place finish.
The DRN boys fared better with Grand Forks Red River taking top honors with 184.5 points with Grand Forks Central Knights following with 148 points and the Ottertail Central Bulldogs rounding out the top three with 91 points. The DRN boys would finish in seventh position.
Individual girls results for the Bemidji Lions meet include:
Kristina Harder finished in 22nd position in the 200 meter dash with a time of 32.43; 21st in the 400 meter dash in 1:12.23 and 27th in the long jump with a 11-07.50 distance.
Ashley Trout finished the 800 meters in 21st position in 3:05.59; 13th in the 3,200 meter run in 17:05.95.[[In-content Ad]]
Amy Gustafson finished the 800 meters in 3:25.44, good enough for 26th position.
Alison Juntunen finished 27th in the 1600 meters in 6:52.36 and 21st in the long jump at 12-00.00.
Sophia Rajala carded a second place in the high jump with a J4-08.00 and Donna Vilishek finished in eighth place in the pole vault with J7-00.00.
Danielle Make led DRN in 13th place in the shot put with 25-07.00; Emily Trout finished 17th with a 22-07.00 and Alexandra Burch finished 25th with 19-00.00. Maki also finished 12th in discus with 75-10. and Burch in 26th with 49-09.
For the boys, Jake Spartz finished the 800 meter run in 2:26.19 to finish in 18th place.
Adam Machen finished the 1600 meters in 5:50.07 to finish 30th. Naoh Kaczor finished 23rd in the 3200 meters in 14:55.16.
Kevin Drotts topped all with a 5-10.00 effort in the high jump. Drotts also finished second in pole vault with a 13-00.00 vault and seventh place in long jump at 17-06.50. Austin Saxon finished 13th with 16-09.50 and Jordan Perkins in 28th with a distance of 14-01.50. Saxon finished the triple jump in sixth position with 36-08.00.
Thomas Mitlyng landed in 33rd position in the shot put with a 30-06.00 effort and in 26th position in Discus at 81-07. Brody Dehardt finished in 33rd at 75-00.
