Faith in Action for Cass County is seeking applicants to fill a VISTA member position for this upcoming year! If you are between jobs or newly retired and wanting to keep busy, this may be a great opportunity for you or a friend to learn new skills and meet new people while serving others.

The VISTA project involves developing a resource and referral network for local home repair, chore, handyman, and homemaking services that complements and enhances Faith in Action's volunteer services to seniors, the disabled and others in need throughout Cass County. The VISTA member will create partnerships with local businesses and update communications, including social media and website, to help us grow and develop greater volunteer opportunities throughout Cass County.

AmeriCorps VISTA is the national service program designed specifically to fight poverty. VISTA members commit to serve full-time for a year at a nonprofit organization, working to improve social services, strengthen community groups, and much more. VISTA members receive a modest living allowance, health coverage, leave time, professional development opportunities, and an end-of-service education benefit for college tuition or a service stipend.

Faith in Action for Cass County is a nonprofit volunteer program that provides transportation, chore and homemaking services, respite, friendly visiting, delivers meals on wheels and builds accessibility ramps.
