A Time of Sharing will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the Wabedo Cemetery, Longville.
Vicki was born on May 1, 1946 in Brainerd, MN to Walter and Violet Putnam. Vicki married Marvin Wasen on April 7, 1962. They had 3 children and were married 42 years. Vicki worked for Bemidji School District for 30+ years and at Horace May Elementary as a librarian assistant for 25+ of those years. She loved sharing the joy of books with countless Bemidji area children and her Horace May co-worker family. She retired in 2008 and enjoyed mini-travel adventures with family and friends including Jan Schmidt. Vicki resided in her small farm house in Guthrie for over 50 years, then moved to Bemidji in Havenwood Care system.
Vicki is survived by, Marvin; her children, Carsha (Jim) Lapp, Troy (Kay) Wasen and Trent (Flordelisa) Wasen; five grandchildren, Cole Wasen, (Kelly (Lance) Richter, Jared Wasen, Jason Seegmiller, Peri Lapp and 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Michele (Connie) Putnam and Walt "Zeke" (Colleen) Putnam; nieces and nephews, Gretchen (Nate) Putnam Wolske, Sara Putnam, Lexi (Jacqueline) Putnam Daniels, Josh Putnam and Nicole (Michael) Putnam-Frenchik and special sister-in-law, Kay (Skip) Putnam Hall.
Vicki is preceded in death by her father, Walter Putnam; mother, Violet Putnam McDonald and nephew, Todd Putnam.[[In-content Ad]]
